Always good for a quote is City’s enigmatic powerhouse striker Mario Balotelli. This week he’s going after every rag’s favourite scouser in Italian dispatches
The 8 goals from 8 starts City striker has had a chat with Italian media outlet Extra Time and revealed his belief in The Blues strike force:
‘Our attack of Balotelli, Tevez and Dzeko is the best in the world. Better even than Barcelona and Real Madrid. We are the strongest and we can win things now. We just lack conviction.’
The unpredictable 20 year old Italy international then turned his attention to the rags and in doing so earned himself a Planet Blue star rating for his dismissal of the swamp’s very own mercenary centre forward:
‘Rooney is a very good player but not the best in Manchester…do United fans insult me? No, they stop me in the street and say ‘Mario, come to us.’ …I dream of beating them because I know how much the City fans care, they are wonderful with me. When they sang my name after the hat-trick, I had chills.’
