Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson spoke to the press following Sundays 8-1 battering by Middlesbrough.

Sven was reluctant to talk about the match itself; however, he found time to mention his Manchester City future…

“To live in the insecure is never good for anyone but I hope to not be living in the insecure very soon, within hours.”

“I expect to speak to people – or they speak to me – from the owner’s side, people in the club who work daily within the club.’

“I have had no answer (about his future) yet.”

Asked what effect the speculation about his job had on the players and the performance, Eriksson added…

“You can never measure that.”

Vital Manchester City says…

“Sit on the fence, why don’t you!”
