I’d happily put my mortgage on Alexis Sanchez leaving Arsenal to join up with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City during this summer’s transfer window – let me tell you why I’m happy to put my neck on the line.

I’m not going to go into any facts and figures as you’ll be able to find them via other sources. But what I’m prepared to do is this.

Prior to Sunday’s Confederations Cup Final (Chile v Germany) City’s Claudio Bravo and Sanchez were taking media questions during Chile’s pre-match press conference. Now, if you look at Sanchez and his body language, when asked about his future you’ll see his reactions.

Check out this Sky Sports News clip.

Body language

Body language is best described as a type of non-verbal communication in which physical behaviour, as opposed to words, are used to express or convey information. Such behaviour includes facial expressions, body posture, gestures, eye movement, touch and the use of space.

Having watched the clip can anyone deny just how uncomfortable Sanchez looked when Manchester City was mentioned?

Alexis and Claudio are best of mates.

The debate.

Should Arsenal let Alexis Sanchez go to a Premier League rival?

Arsenal ‘really, really, really don’t want to strengthen a Premier League rival’ by allowing Alexis Sanchez to move to Manchester City, according to The Independent sports editor Ed Malyon.

The Chilean has one year left to run on his contract at the Emirates, with rumours that Manchester City are interested in signing him this summer for a cut-price deal.

On whether Arsenal should sell now or let the forward go on a free transfer, Malyon said, ‘What’s the worst PR hit? I’m not even sure.’

Have I done enough to convince you?

Alexis Sanchez, welcome to Manchester City.
