As hacks queue up to deliver more toe curling arslikhan in his general direction, the Stretford bin man has complained publicly about the Football Association…

You’ll find some journalists today talking up the possibility of the rags receiving eight England call ups for next month’s Euro 2012 clashes with Wales and Bulgaria. A possibility, but highly unlikely to become a reality with a number of those players holding out for fringe squad opportunities at best.

Ferguson, bordering on assuming the call ups were done and dusted, revelled in being asked about the long shot of all eight of his English players getting the nod from Fabio Capello then chose the moment to complain bitterly that the FA treat united unfavourably:

‘It is fantastic. The FA may realise who has produced more players for their country than any club in the world. I am pleased for the players….They are outstanding.

‘Maybe the FA will get some joy from it and realise how important we are to England instead of treating us like shit. I am pleased for the players. They are outstanding.’

– Treating the out of towners like shit??

You will never find any English hack pointing it out, but Manchester City, who repeatedly provide six players to the England squad and repeatedly field those players week in week out in the league have got on with the job regardless.

Even this week as the BBC Director General grovelled to Ferguson over future interviews and the rags secured yet another piss-easy Champions League Group Stage draw, City braced themselves for an autumn that will see them play six FA Barclays Premier League fixtures away from home after all six of The Blues scheduled Champions League fixtures.

Meanwhile, outside the city walls, the rags have secured six home league fixtures to follow their Champions League strolls.

File under beyond belief.
