It’s the final round of games before Christmas this weekend with Palace back in action in the Premier League away from home.

City play host to Crystal Palace on Saturday lunchtime at the Etihad Stadium, the live BT Sports game gives us the chance to put the pressure on Chelsea.

We have no recognised, senior, striker in the squad with Sergio Aguero (knee), Stevan Jovetic (hamstring) and Edin Dzeko (calf) all sidelined until the New Year so young forward Jose Angel Pozo could fill in again.

Manuel Pellegrini has hinted that James Milner, Samir Nasri or David Silva could be used as a ‘makeshift’ striker mind.

Vincent Kompany (hamstring) is also out until the New Year.

Crystal Palace will be missing Marouane Chamakh (hamstring) and Joe Ledley (hip) but could have Adrian Mariappa (knee) fit.

We have won the last six against Crystal Palace in all competitions, it’s some 19-years since a Premier League defeat and 2001, in the second tier, since a Crystal Palace win over us at all.
