Hot on the heels of the midweek Premier League game it’s back into action for City this weekend with a home game next up.

City face arguably the toughest challenge this weekend to a near perfect month that Manuel Pellegrini is targeting from December when Everton come to the Etihad on Saturday evening for the live Sky Sports game.

We’ve got Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov (both calf) back in contention to return after injury, places on the bench could seem most likely for the pair though.

Injuries to Vincent Kompany (hamstring) and David Silva (knee) mean they’ll both miss out again with Stevan Jovetic to be ‘rested’ as precautionary measure after he sustained a knock in our four-win win at Sunderland in midweek, the same Sunderland that Chelsea could only manage a draw with!

Yaya Toure (sore throat) sat out training today but will be available.

Everton have Antolin Alcaraz (should) back in contention but they’ll be without Steven Naismith, James McCarthy (both hamstring) and Darron Gibson (knee).

Now back to full fitness Arouna Kone and Bryan Oviedo could have a part to play.

Last seasons double over Everton was our first over them since the 1980/81 season, before those wins Everton had won six of eight Premier League meetings before that, losing just once and winning six.
