It’s back to champions league action for City tonight in a crucial Group E encounter.

Perhaps it is not quite a ‘must win’ game for City tonight but the meeting with Roma at the Etihad is almost certainly a ‘must not lose’ game following the late defeat to Bayern Munich in our opener.

Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Joe Hart will take over from Willy Caballero again tonight in goal, having sat out the thrashing of Sheffield Wednesday in the league cup and the premier league win at Hull on Saturday.

A boost is the return from injury of Stevan Jovetic (hamstring) but Fernando and Samir Nasri are out.

Roma, who have won all of their Serie A games so far and spanked CSKA Moscow five-one in their group opener, could include some familiar faces including former England man Ashley Cole and ex Arsenal man Gervinho, who scored twice in that CSKA win.
