After the excitement of the champions league draw, and a free midweek as our league cup defence doesn’t start until round three, it’s premier league action again this weekend with City at home.

City welcome Stoke City to the Etihad on Saturday as we look to continue our good start to our title defence.

Edin Dzeko (thigh) was injury in the three-one win over Liverpool on Monday but he could still be fit to feature but if not Sergio Aguero could start for the first time this season having scored within seconds of his arrival in that game.

A lack of fitness mean that Eliaquim Mangala is still awaiting his City bow.

Bojan Krkic (rib) missed Stoke’s three-nil league cup win over Portsmouth due to injury but has returned to training so the former Barcelona man should feature but Geoff Cameron is injured and Phil Bardsley (knee) a doubt.

The last seven home games have been won by City against Stoke, we’ll be looking to make it eight and retain an unbeaten home record against them stretching back to 1997.
