It’s midweek Premier League action this week, meaning City are back in action with us facing an away game.

City travel to the Stadium of Light on Wednesday night to face Sunderland, who did our title hopes a favour by frustrating Chelsea on Saturday night.

We’ll be looking to make sure they can’t do this against us!

Sunderland remain without Billy Jones and Patrick van Aanholt, leaving them short defensively with loanee defender Sebastian Coates possibly making his first Premier League start.

Eliaquim Mangala (suspension) will have to sit this one out after his sending off for two yellow cards in the three-one win over Southampton on Sunday.

As Vincent Kompany (hamstring) is also likely to miss out (how long is out next worry) we could be stretched meaning a rare Premier League outing could come for Dedryck Boyata, but Bacary Sagna filling in as a central defender is thought to be more likely.

Three wins, two draws and just one defeat is the return for Sunderland from the last six meetings with us so they’ll fancy their chances, even more so given the fact they’re unbeaten in the last five and we’ve lost the last four in a row at the Stadium of Light itself!
