The traditional Boxing Day game will see City in action away from home in the Premier League this time round.

City go to the Hawthorns on Boxing Day to take on West Brom knowing that a win will not only keep our Premier League title defence very much alive but also see us set a new club record of consecutive wins.

West Brom should have Chris Brunt (hamstring) back from injury but Victor Anichebe (groin) is still missing. Georgios Samaras (family matter) is back from Greece so should be involved as could Graham Dorrans (calf) and Boaz Myhill (illness) despite knocks that saw them miss training this week.

Sergio Aguero (knee), Edin Dzeko (calf) and Stevan Jovetic (hamstring) will all of course miss out for us again so James Milner and David Silva should play ‘advanced roles’ to compensate. Jose Angel Pozo could be another option if Manuel Pellegrini decides to make a chance, which isn’t likely.

Vincent Kompany (hamstring/calf) is another that is out but Gael Clichy (minor knock) will be ok.

West Brom beat us in December 2008 but we’re unbeaten against them in the last nine since, making it ten with another win will be the aim on Boxing Day!
