UK broadsheet, the Daily Telegraph has studied all of the football internet websites out there in cyberspace and ranked the Vital Network seventh out of 25.

Formula

They took into account videos, pictures, news, blogs and gossip and came up with rankings, 1-25.

Far from me to blow the bosses trumpet but Jonathan Fear and Andy C (don’t know his surname and feel embarrassed for not knowing) have worked miracles to bring football fans a truly unique experience in football internet sites. Starting from scratch they have built a network many in the sport of football envy and admire.

Little Known Fact

Even Mr Fear has a cross to bear in that his supports Aston Villa while Andy is a staunch Stockport County fan – gawd bless ’em.

The network launched in 2006 and since then Vital has seen off many challenges. It has developed and grown into what you see today, but not without stiff competition. We have seen off the Rivals Network, bought out by SKY a couple of years ago and look what happened. Yup, Rivals is now defunct.

I hope I can say on behalf of JF and AC that Vital will remain independent, a site, for the fans; by the fans.
