Carlos Tevez has reportedly ruled out joining Liverpool due to ’emotional reasons’, leaving Manchester City and Chelsea leading the race for the Argentinian.
The intense rivalry between United and Liverpool is behind his decision and the striker feels that moving to City would cause less damage to his relationship with United fans on his departure.
Tevez has not yet ruled out the possibility of remaining with United, and talks with the remaining interested parties will continue tomorrow.
Manchester City have reportedly offered Tevez a 75% pay rise, equating to a massive £140,000-a-week salary, but more importantly, the opportunity to establish himself in the starting eleven.
