Vital Manchester City received the following from Trevor Jacobs.

Manchester City

The race is on – can City prove they have what it takes to be serious Champions League contenders especially with Spurs breathing fiercely down their necks, and of course Liverpool battling hard to live up to their high expectations.

With six games remaining, City certainly has the edge over the rest of the contenders – Carlos Tevez, City’s lucky jewel is most definitely the ‘man of the moment’. Did you know the Blues have never lost while the Argentinean has been on the score sheet (Premier League) this season?

Coming straight off a 6-1 win over relegation certainties, Burnley, the confidence will be running riot in the City camp. In addition, I think we have enough players to fill the hole left by injuries hence, in my opinion, Roberto Mancini’s side look certain to finish 4th.

Liverpool

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres, who has netted six times in the last seven games has cast a shadow over the Anfield lot and in doing so recently said that Liverpool’s season was doomed from the start. Even Gerrard admitted that he is yet to find top form, (could this form come within the next six games?). Oh and Liverpool’s chances of securing investment from the Rhone Group appears to have ended after the club missed the deadline to complete discussions. Liverpool’s answer to their financial problems could lay in finishing in the top 4, so yes; this race is most definitely on.

Spurs

Tottenham are still in contention for the FA Cup with King ‘arry Redknapp eyeing silverware, and even Mr Cockney himself is still hopeful of finding that illusive key to next seasons Champions League.

Dawson, Lennon (almost fit) Jenas, Woodgate all sat out of training yesterday – seems like Harry has some injury concerns on his hand especially with a string of difficult games to come.

The race / dogfight, however you want to describe it most definately on.
