Former Manchester City owner, Thaksin Shinawatra is making a return, but not as you know it.
Mr Thaksin, a telecoms tycoon turned politician had his $1.3 billion assets frozen by Thailand’s supreme court last year but that’s another story, However, the 61-year-old former Prime Minister of Thailand is banking on a political party headed by his younger sister to win elections on July 3rd and score another blow to the Thai establishment that tried and failed to bury his career.
Thaksin Shinawatra is best remembered by Manchester City fans when in 2008 he sold the club to the ruling family in Abu Dhabi. The best move he ever made.
