I got all excited about the headline at the official site saying ‘Jordans Progress’, then I realised it was about 23 year old Stephen Jordan! Stuart Pearce has heeped praise on the young player who has made five appearances this season and 19 last season.

Robbie Fowler’s back injury is being monitored on a daily basis because the player is still struggling for fitness and his injury may require surgery.

Pearce has said that he feels he has enough cover in defence at the moment and won’t be spending any of his transfer kitty in January on adding to that area.

David James has signed a one-year contract extension with Manchester City to keep him at the club until the end of the 2006-07 season. And Sven has said the door is still open for the player to get back into the England squad.

City’s clash with Tottenham at the City of Manchester Stadium has been postponed. It was originally to have been played on January 2, but will now be played on January 4 at 8pm.
