The Manchester Dream Is Still Alive – Champions League News

|

The Faceless Hotballers of Nyon slipped up today by putting the wrong balls on the radiator and produced a Champions League draw that created a pathway to a Manchester- Stretford Derby in the Champions League Final to be held in Madrid on 1 June.

Out of the hat came:

Ajax v Juventus

Liverpool v FC Porto

Tottenham v City

Stretford v Barcelona

Needless to say the slavering Scousers got the “easy” one if such a tie exists at this stage and poor old Stretford had to suffer a reversal of their fixture because of City’s superiority in the Premier League. They now have to conclude their QF away at the Camp Nou.

Spuds away and home may not be City’s ideal challenge but of the three Premier League teams they could’ve drawn Spuds would have the one of choice.

The semi-finals have drawn the winner of City-Spuds v Juvenus-Ajax and the winner of Liverpool-Porto v Stretford-Barcelona.

Not one of these ties looks to be a straightforward route to Madrid and the possibilities are enormous with Ronaldo maybe knocking on the door at the Etihad while Messi will be wanting to destroy United and then Liverpool.

Mouthwatering matches all round, but will the Blues be facing the reds come 1 June?
