I’m really tired of the Torres rubbish coming up all the time. It’s really just symptomatic of where the whole thing is at with regard to City and transfers at present. In a word, unbelievable.
Yes, City are very well funded now, but the continuous pounding from cyberspace by obsolete messages is truly mindless. I suppose that it’s meant to be. The vast majority of it is exaggerated drivel, and it tends to continuously drip-feed the silly masses with a built-in anti-City bias. If it was happening to West Ham, (and they’ll have a very small dose of it if they inherit the Olympic stadium), then I’d just be an interested bystander.
Is luck to be mocked as a crime? Is ‘time and place’ to now be permanently bemoaned as ‘tragic’ by all those who are not there? Like we’re all immature idiots?
Ok, so your opposition wants to put you down by cat-calling, but can’t they see how pointless that is after a while. When someone says ‘Moneybags’ now, I know they’re an idiot. It’s that simple. No pun intended.
I wrote this after being bombarded with it a month ago, and the Torres spam still hasn’t stopped coming…

With that in mind, towards the end of June, there was an article printed in a certain rag (The Mail) that intimated that Fernando Torres would be bought by City. This was after he’d already said, (printed in the same cyber paper), that he wouldn’t go to City.
Some of you, and particularly the journalists, seem unable to distinguish between a man who tells it as it is, and a man who is perhaps given to the odd deception. Fernando Torres is of the former. Is it really that difficult to see that? In June I replied to another similar article with the following.
‘…WITH REGARD TO SAYING THAT HE WOULDN’T COME TO CITY, I BELIEVE HIM, BECAUSE EVERYTHING ABOUT HIS BEHAVIOUR, DEMEANOUR AND LANGUAGE INDICATES THAT HE’S A SERIOUS YOUNG MAN WHO HAS PRINCIPLES THAT WILL NOT ALLOW HIM TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN EITHER STAY AT LIVERPOOL, OR GO BACK TO SPAIN. IF THE WRITER OF THIS LAME ARTICLE HAD FAMILIARISED HIMSELF WITH TORRES DURING HIS ATLETICO DAYS, HE WILL ALSO KNOW THAT TORRES WILL ALSO NEVER PLAY FOR REAL MADRID.’
We would hope that this will be the end of dredging this particular story up again and again with regard to City and a transfer of the player by so-called journalists whose number one recourse is to ‘cut and paste’, without thinking. And obviously without realising that they are dragging the credibility of the publication they write for…down with them. Admittedly, at this time, some publications seem to actively oppose credibility.
Eventually articles like this become as anaesthetising as spam, and have an added effect – they are then only believed by kids and unstable cyber addicts. If that’s how this publication, (The Mail), wants to treat its readership, all well and good, but it’s an insult to the intelligence to read this sort of doo-doo for 4 solid months of the year.
Reading the Beano would be more informative. Reading Viz certainly would. And they’re something known as comics aren’t they? You should now be old enough to be able to read people. Start by examining their body language/demeanour, perhaps, but start soon please.’
