That’s the question regarding Kelechi Iheanacho for Manuel Pellegrini but what’s the answer….

As things stand Iheanacho isn’t in the Man City squad for the Champions League but could be added when the decision is made on the final selection for the knockout stages with Samir Nasri the one looking most at risk of missing out?

Nasri wasn’t expected to return until March, which could have seen him left out as a result but with the Frenchman revealing he, at least saying he hopes, to return sooner it’s given Pellegrini another decision to make.

The Nigerian teenager has certainly impressed this season and would be worthy of a place in the 25-man squad, as you feel he’ll be someone that could offer us something, but the boss has told Sky Sports he’ll await the doctors report on Nasri before making up his mind once and for all.

‘I have not decided yet but we are thinking about that. We are going to have the report of the doctor one day before we must send the new list of the Champions League and then we will decide.’

Obviously City face Dynamo Kiev in the last 16 with the first leg played, behind ‘closed doors’, in Kiev on 24th February with Pellegrini required to name his final squad list to Uefa by 2nd February.
