According to an exclusive report from 90min, Man City have targeted David Alaba in a proposed Leroy Sane swap deal with Bayern Munich as the Sky Blues eye a defensive replacement for current left-back Benjamin Mendy.

The Bavarian giants have been trying to lure Sane away from the Etihad since last year, but now it seems as if City may be willing to part ways with the unsettled 24-year-old star if they get Alaba in exchange.

Would you let Sane go for £10m if it meant signing Alaba?

Yes, we need a solid left-back

However, Bayern would only include him in the deal if we reduce our asking price to a meagre £10 million.

Even though the fee is debatably small, many City supporters have flocked to show their approval of the idea – claiming it would be a ‘Txiki masterclass‘ and a ‘shrewd‘ bit of business.

Alaba, who has started 19 games for the Bundesliga side this season, could be plying his trade at Eastlands soon if this proposed swap comes to fruition.

Here’s how supporters reacted to the news.
