Un-Neighbourly conduct!

City are reported to have refused requests to move May`s derby game back by 24 hours.

The request comes as the rags seek to gain any advantage they can over Chelsea in the Premiership run in.

As they have a Champions League game in Milan on the Wednesday, Yoonited thought they would approach City and seek permission to gain an extra day`s rest before the game.

City have apparently responded with a resounding no.

Now not withstanding the fact that I have little time for our odious neighbours, why should they expect City to make their challenge for trophies easier at the expense of those that have already made arrangements for this fixture?

Travel is notoriously more difficult on a Sunday, particularly for a lunchtime fixture, and to expect supporters of both teams to change arrangements with little notice stinks of typical rag arrogance.

The price of success, since time eternal, has always been a backlog of fixtures. Yoonited, as per the rest of the teams in the top flight, accept the Sky dollar and therefore should accept the timescale between games. Playing before Chelsea has suited them for most of the second half of the season and there is no reason changes should be made to the fixture so late in the day.

It all stinks a little to me as if they are getting a tad concerned. The nightmare scenario for City that they could get relegated as Yoonited confirmed the title no longer exists. The only nightmare that remains is a rag one. How it would grate if City were to take the points that cost them the title.

Suddenly lickle siddy are of concern: and they won`t even move the fixture to suit the rags.
