City’s tour of the US is over after defeat on penalties to Olympiacos, a second time in four-days City were beaten on penalties. This after a 2-2 draw in normal time.

Stevan Jovetic’s fine pre-season form carried on as he scored his latest goal of the summer to put us ahead but the lead lasted just two-minutes with Dimitrios Diamantakos making the most of a defensive mistake to make it one-one at the break.

With David Silva was fouled in the area on 51-minutes Aleks Kolarov had a chance to restore the lead and he thundered home his spot kick but again the lead couldn’t be held with Diamantakos scoring again to level midway through the second half.

Penalties, as with the Liverpool game, were needed to resolved this one, Silva and Kolarov scoring and Hart saving left us with the advantage but with James Milner and Scott Sinclair missing the Greek a chance to win it, but Hart saved again!

With it down to sudden death Micah Richards blaze over leaving Papazoglou made no mistake win it 5-4 for Olympiacos.
