Manchester City today confirmed that Bulgarian international Valeri Bojinov is in talks with newly promoted Serie A side Parma over a proposed one-season loan deal.

Bojinov signed for City in a transfer reportedly worth around £5.75m under Sven Goran Eriksson, however, injuries hampered his progress throughout his time at the club.

After Mark Hughes’ summer spending spree, the unproven hitman fell down the pecking order but will now be given the playing time he needs to prove his undoubted ability in Italy.

Despite two injury filled seasons at Manchester City, the ‘Raging Bulgar’ became a fan favourite after showing glimpses of his undoubted talent which included a fantastic goal against AC Milan in a pre-season friendly.

Fans will be hoping Boji can put his injuries behind him and wish him the best of luck in unleashing his lethal potential in Serie A.
