Manchester City hasn’t won a Premier League game since the way trip to Sunderland way back on 2 February 2016 when Sergio Aguero scored the only goal of the match.
The 0-3 Anfield defeat last night knocked the stuffing out of the City players and supporters alike, nevertheless, my glass is half full and not half empty. But why?
Premier League
City has a mere 11 games to play until the end of the season. The club is currently fourth, on goal difference with Manchester United however, there are still 33 points to play for.
League leaders Leicester City and second placed Tottenham are 10 and seven points ahead of MCFC. Third placed Arsenal are five points in front.
League fixtures
Manchester City have to re-arrange the away game at St. James’ Park. At the time of publication no date has been set.

If my predictions come to light City will add another 25 points to their tally, and that’s without predicting the Newcastle match.
We might be eight points down compared to this time last year but our run-in could have been worse.
I’m not going to pretend we can win the league but it’s not impossible. Failing that I’m confident a Champions League place will be waiting for Pep Guardiola next season.
Champions League
City are 3-1 up against Dynamo Kiev with the second leg scheduled to take place at the Etihad on Tuesday 15 March. Unless we capitulate a quarter final beckons. After that, who know?
Capital One Cup
Already in the bag.
No matter the outcome, maybe we Blues don’t realise we’re on an adventure of a lifetime.
Talking of which…
Coldplay’s tune, with a similar title may lift the mood.
