Our friends from BlueMoonRisingTV ask a simple question. Should Kelechi Iheanacho start for Manchester City each week?

Kelechi Promise Iheanacho – born 3 October 1996 in Nigeria.

He was in the Nigeria squad that won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup and the Nigeria U-20 team at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

In January 2014, Kelechi went on to claim the ‘Most Promising Talent of the Year’ award in January 2014 at the CAF annual awards ceremony which recognises the best footballers in Africa.

After injuries ruled the Nigerian out of much of the 2014/15 season, he returned to City to score in the FA Youth Cup final against Chelsea and then followed this up with the only goal in the International Premier League Cup final win over FC Porto, landing his first honour with the club in the process.

Kelechi continued his hot scoring streak for the EDS in the final weeks of the season, netting twice against champions Manchester United in the final league game to take his tally to six in seven games.

Iheanacho was called up to the Manchester City senior squad for the 2015-16 season and in doing so he’s making one of the striker positions his own. He’s made 21 appearances and netted nine times, including a hat-trick against Aston Villa (30 January 2016) in the last round of the FA Cup.
