Manchester City kicked off their pre-season campaign in style earlier this morning with a 2-0 win over Club America.
Goals from Ryan McGivern and Shaun Wright-Phillips were enough to see off the Mexicans in what can only be described as a one-way contest in favour of Roberto Mancini’s men.
City starting XI: Hart, Veseli, Clichy, Savic, Lescott, Barry, De Jong (capt), McGivern, Wright-Phillips, Weiss, Dzeko
City 2nd half: Taylor, Richards, Kolarov, Boyata, Kompany, Milner, Yaya Toure, A Johnson, Guidetti, Weiss, A Mancini
