The L’Equipe sports paper reports that VMC favourite Vincent Kompany has been sent home to Manchester by Belgium boss Dick Advocaat for disciplinary reasons…

Vinny was reprimanded by Advocaat for turning up late for personal reasons for a team tactics meeting last weekend and subsequently dropped to the bench by the hardline Dutchman for the Red Devils’ 3-0 win over Hungary.

VK was then given absence of leave to assist with his grandmothers funeral, but he reported back late again and this time Avocaat gave him the red card. This means the classy City defensive midfielder will miss Belgium’s friendly in Sedan, France against Qatar tonight.

Much as a cloud has cast a shadow across Vinny’s international career while Dick remains Head coach, he can be assured of a warm welcome back amongst The Blues.

At least that’s one of our international stars guaranteed back fit for the Liverpool six pointer!
