Vital Arsenal member, nikolaijns took to his keyboard and answered the following questions.

Vital Arsenal can be found by clicking here.

What sort of reception will Emmanuel Adebayor receive especially after the incident at the City of Manchester Stadium earlier in the season?

‘The fact that this was your leading question shows this is the main talking point for a lot of people. He knows he’ll be in for a pretty hostile reception. I would personally prefer ignoring the pillock as he’ll doubtless use it to sp*r him on and actually put some effort in for once. He will inevitably score at some stage and will be as humble as ever in his celebration.’

How long do you think Arse Wenger will remain at the helm and what do fans think of him?

‘I think 4 years max now. There’s talk of contract extensions until 2014 and I think that will be that. His latest charges will have entered a hopefully fruitful maturity and the new incumbent will have inherited a squad to last a further four years or so with only a minor tweak needed here or there. We’ll see him proudly depart upstairs (to the boardroom that is, not Valhalla) Arsenal fans in the main should be and are thankful for the position and rude health he’ll have left our club in.’

‘These last few years have been testing due to our stadium upheaval and the financial constraints it has placed but in that time we have generally remained pretty competitive both in the league and Europe. There’s not a massive swell of positivity knocking about at the moment in goonerdom due to this fortnight being pretty thankless, but to take a step back and check the bigger picture we’ll be back stronger with what has to be a less injury ravaged season.’

Who will win this years Premier League and why?

‘If Utd beat sp*rs I’d go for them, if United drop points then Chelski will take it.’

How many players do you think you’ll sign once the transfer window opens?

‘Wenger has stated several signings are in place for as soon as the window opens which would make a lovely change from our last minute, store is closing; pushed out the door by security, bargain hunting. Again depends on who is staying, if Gallas is off he needs replacing. I pray we sign a new keeper, if only to kill off a 50 page thread on our forum which is life sapping in its tedium. Chamakh seems a likelihood, so keeper, central defender and Chamakh in my view.’

Saturday’s score prediction please.

‘1-3 Painful to admit, I can’t see this game turning our mini slump around. We’ll have the standard lion’s share of ineffectual possession and you’ll be lethal on the counter punishing us every time. I cannot see us keeping out Tevez, Bellers and Power donkey especially as we’re fielding a retirement home in central defence, not to mention Fabianski juggling between the sticks.’

If Manchester City qualify for next seasons Champions League how do you think they will do?

‘You’ll do alright son, don’t you worry. If you do qualify that’s essentially the green light right there for every mercenary in Europe to swarm toward your highest bids.’

What does the outside world, especially Arsenal fans think of MCFC and why?

‘You’re the second club in Manchester. Because Utd are the first.’

Who will win the World Cup and why?

‘I’ll go with Spain; they just look like it could be their time in this. Maradona and Dunga are the reasons I don’t see Argentina or Brazil doing it and Germany and England will both fall short.’

Many thanks nikolaijns and Vital Arsenal.
