City’s 14th UEFA Cup game of this gruelling rollercoaster season ended victorious thanks to Ireland’s Number One Shay Given, our Vital MC MOTM…
Much as I personally believe that the tactics of caution and containment caused us to sit too deep on the road yet again last night, I’d also suggest that our young side’s relative inexperience also played a part in the tie going to penalties.
This was a time for character and cool heads and Shay, with those two fine penalty saves showed us all just why he is rated as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe. A terrific acquisition for City.
