Man City Team News:

Pellegrini has to do without Wilfried Bony (gashed leg), however he’ll now have the international break to get himself patched up.

Also out, until at least the return, are Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy and Fernando.

Maybe Nicolas Otamendi could make his debut following his arrival last week?

Player to watch: David Silva

Watford Team News:

Watford made 11 changes to their side in midweek, which saw them lose to Preston in the League Cup but Joel Ekstrand is still injured.

Miguel Britos (suspended) was carrying over a three-match ban from his Napoli days, making his debut in that one-nil Preston defeat but will now serve another three-match ban for his sending off following an elbow!

Player to watch: Heurelho Gomes

Match Facts & Stats

City have won five of the last seven-matches played between the sides, the other two were drawn. Included among those wins was the four-two in the FA Cup in 2014 when the Citizens had been two-down!

1987 was the last time Watford beat City in a topflight game with the last win the Hornets managed at all coming back in 1989 at Vicarage Road.

Having won 10-matches on the spin, to equal that record from 1912, another win would beat that and most would expect this win….wouldn’t they?

Match Prediction:

The Citizens will hope for a positive result, but will this happen?
