VMC Man Of The Match v Stoke

Don’t believe what you read in pages like The Daily Torygraph this morning. Wayne Bridge is giving it a right go for Manchester City…

England Manager Fabio Capello was at Eastlands for the airball game between City and Stoke, running the rule over Bridge, Barry, SWP and Lescott whilst sounding out Mancio over Adam Johnson. Certainly Lescott had a steady game, Wrighty gave his usual full effort and Barry drifted in and out again, but the pick of the four had to be Bridge who at times is charging after the ball as if his life depends upon it.

He’s taken some stick from certain hacks for not being a worthy replacement for Chelsea’s perma-moaning Ashley Cole but is making great strides having been out after a lengthy absence through injury.

The VMC Forum have singled out Bridgey and Wrighty for justifiable praise from what was a terrible spectacle of a match. Bridgey is named VMC Man Of The Match for the third time this season.
