Wigan boss Roberto Martinez was full of praise for Manchester City as his side got away with what could have well been an almighty thumping. Post Three Nil Reaction…

…and the almost unplayable David Silva was uppermost in City gaffer Roberto Mancini’s mind as he savoured City’s fourth consecutive league win…

Roberto Mancini:

‘Silva is a top, top player. Like Aguero, Yaya, Nasri and Tevez. Football for them comes easy. Like anyone else, I like watching it when we play well.

‘But football is about winning too and sometimes you play better than the other team and lose. Against Wigan we should have closed the game off much more quickly.

‘All the players did well and we have made a good start but that is all it is – a good start.’

Roberto Martinez:

‘They are a special team. They have fantastic football awareness and are wonderful to watch. The understanding between Silva, Agüero, Tévez, that is something special, but the biggest compliment you can pay them, and their manager Roberto Mancini, is that they play as a team.

‘This Manchester City have got the capability to achieve anything in world football.’

Sergio Aguero:

‘I’m getting used to playing at home in front of our fans but the important thing is that we keep winning and keep good form.

‘The passing of Nasri and Silva makes thing easier but with all the players joining in it’s a good feeling for us up front.

‘Mancini asks us to keep the ball and dominate from there.’

Hosko:

‘Silva is absolutely disgusting!’

rojo2010:

‘You just can’t buy that sort of class from Aguero. His finishing is stunning. Oh wait…we did buy him! Silva’s play was, as someone described him on here – simply ‘disgusting.’ I just can’t think of a better adjective to describe his intricate ball skills.’

fifthcolumnblue:

‘Lot of great performances out there today – Kompany was impeccable and put in some real crunchers – Micah was great defensively and also got forward very effectively – Milner did a very good impression of Zabaleta, worked tirelessly and even took a boot in the face for the cause – Aguero is a brilliant poacher, and at times his balance under a challenge is totally incredible. Nasri’s cameo yielded yet another assist, Lescott didn’t really put a foot wrong, but the real hero of today has to be Silva – **cking fantastic display!’

PhillyBlueMoon:

‘I don’t know why Toure doesn’t take penalties, especially with the power he has in his shot!’

Thaibluefan:

‘Silva lived up to his nickname today – sheer magic.’
