Almost one third of the Premier League season completed, City remain league leaders. Post match reaction to a Loftus Road berserker…

David Platt:

‘We have to give credit to QPR. They played well and did everything we expected them to.
They picked a bold attacking side and gave it a really good go. They put us under pressure…but we looked dangerous without maybe being at our sharpest. We cannot play at our peak for all 38 games, no side can do that. But to win without playing at our best is a great sign.’

Neil Warnock:

‘City stuck at it well but we gave them a real test and probably both sets of fans have gone home happy. We have watched City a lot this season and teams who sit back against them hadn’t done that well. So we decided to have a real go.

‘It is a diabolical result. Football can be a cruel game sometimes…W have made three errors in ninety minutes against a side I would regard as the best in the world, and got punished every time. I guess you have to take it on the chin. It is results like that that make City champions elect.’

Micah Richards:

‘The manager warned us before the game that
this was going to be one of our hardest games of the season. I thought we dealt with it well. Gutted to concede two goals but we got the three points. We’ll take confidence from this. We’re happy.’

Edin Dzeko:

‘…The hardest away game of the season so far. I was surprised by QPR but in a positive way and they kept going right to the end.’

Joe Hart:

‘That was a proper Premier League match. Hats off to QPR. It was a great game and I loved every minute of it…Not many teams will come here and win, especially in a night game.’

YaYa Toure:

‘If you want to win league titles then these are the games in which you have to come out top. We are all so happy that we go into the break still five points clear and unbeaten it is fantastic…Everyone is happy and working hard for each other and for the manager, and that is what you saw on the pitch at QPR.’

In The VMC Forum:

Robinwho?

‘What a performance, QPR, led by the ex city stars of SWP and Barton did everything to get something but City showed exactly what champions are made of!’

StuMCFC:

‘Very lucky – they outplayed us and if not for the quality of players like Dzeko and Silva to make a difference out of nowhere, we could have lost.’

rojo 2010:

‘Didn’t enjoy that one bit (bar the goals and the final whistle). Actually all three of our goals were fantastic. Defence was shambolic.’

PhillyBlueMoon:

‘The mark of a good team is being able to overcome adversity, and we certainly showed that.’

Blue Dub:

‘I’ll take it, but that was too close for comfort.’

Citizhun:

‘Frustrating performance, but we’ve showed we don’t and won’t give up. First game we’ve been losing in this season, and came back for a win.’
