Roberto Mancini:
‘Leicester played very well. We had a lot of chances in the second half but this is the cup, it’s important we understand the competition, and to win it we must be better than tonight…Bamba is very tall. Next time we must pay more attention to him.’
Sven-Goran Eriksson:
‘We played excellent football. It was a good match and we were equal with one of the best teams in the country, so we have to be happy…We tried to win the game but you have to be careful – if you leave yourself open, they will kill you with the players they have…I am looking forward to the replay and it is a great experience for all the players. It will be difficult to get a result but why not?’
Andy King:
‘We were the home side and we are confident and we don’t fear anyone and it showed…They are strong at home but we have given ourselves a chance and we are in the hat for the next round.’

‘City got really bad in the second half. Crab football not going forward. Really missed Vinnie controlling the defence. Have you noticed teams take short corners against us before we get zonal marking set up? Only plus was Milner played well and should provide Edin Dzeko with lots of crosses.’

Perhaps it’s not just idle speculation that we’ve been rumoured to be seeking defensive back up, as on that form we need it. Lescott didn’t exactly cover himself in glory either, and the fullbacks don’t look quite as good as we all expected them to be. We definitely got out of jail today.’
