Kaizer Chiefs overcame Orlando Pirates on penalties to reach the Vodacom Challenge final after the two sides drew 1-1 in the hotly contested local Soweto derby.

Amakhosi should field a similar team to the one which previously lost to City 1-0, although Reneilwe Letsholonyane will miss out after a heavy challenge from Blaise Kiaku broke his leg in the Pirates game.

Manchester City have confirmed that while Emmanuel Adebayor and Robinho are both set to take part in the final, new signing Carlos Tevez will not feature in tomorrows game due to a heel injury.

Mark Hughes spoke at the Vodacom press conference and said of the Argentinian: ‘It is a shame for him, for us and for the South African public but unfortunately these things happen.

‘Carlos has had a continual problem with his heel and we had it checked yesterday. He is probably going to miss a week of training.’

Adebayor or Robinho have only just joined up with the City squad in South Africa although Hughes has had time to assess both players.

‘We have checked Emmanuel out and he has looked good so far, his fitness levels are fine and he could play a significant part tomorrow.’

The Vodacom Challenge previously been won by Tottenham Hotspur and local rivals Manchester United, City will be hoping to be the third premier league club to lift the stunning trophy.

The game will be available LIVE on City’s official website from 1.30pm (kick-off 2pm).
