Welcoming Derby County

Derby County are a popular club with great supporters. They, like us, have a tremendous history.

Unfortunately, like us the best of it cannot be remembered by the majority of their fans.

When thinking of Derby, great names are a plenty; Brian Clough, Roy McFarland, Dave McKay, Colin Todd and our own Franny Lee. I was there at Maine Road when playing for the Rams he blasted a wonder goal against us to give Derby a 2-1 win and thus end our title hopes.

I hope Billy Davies and his new team hang on to their new found premier status. It will be very difficult for them, but maybe they can start getting a few results as from Thursday.

Whilst the Rams will not give less than 100%, they lack that little extra quality that is so needed in this league.

Interestingly there could be two Michael Johnsons playing tonight, one for each club, but no we are not interested in doing a straight swap.

I think City will win but they will have to work very hard to achieve it; possibly 1-1 half time with two late City goals making the final score 3-1.
