Spain international and now Manchester City player, David Silva can play as a left-sided midfielder, an advanced central midfielder or even as a second striker.
Nonetheless, having paid debt ridden Valencia 33 million euros for his services what do you really expect from the 24-year-old?
Perhaps he will strike up a lethal relationship with Carlos Tevez, similar to the one he enjoyed with David Villa at Valencia, or perhaps he’ll do a Robinho and show glimpses of what he can do but in the end his small stature will fail him in the fast, furious and physically challenging Premier League.
I for one hope the 5 foot 7 inch Spaniard can truly take his new challenge by the scruff of the neck and in doing so make himself a living Manchester City legend. We wait and see.
Valencia Fixture Announced
I suspect part of the transfer deal was to have a pre-season friendly with his former club. This was confirmed yesterday when MCFC announced that Valencia would be visiting the City of Manchester City Stadium for our final pre-season warm-up game. The match is scheduled to take place at 7pm on Saturday, 7th August.
What Do You Expect From David Silva?
More of this I hope.
