Nedum Onuoha is having difficulty deciding which way he wants his international future to go – does he hold out in the hope of playing for England at full level, having done so many times at U21 level, or does he play for the country of his birth, Nigeria, who are keen on calling him up?

The Man City man knows there would be ‘a lot of politics involved and a lot of administrative issues’ should he decide to play for Nigeria, something he says he feels he would ‘really enjoy’, yet he also says he would ‘love to play for England’, so he is left with something of a quandary to continue to ponder…

This decision is not one that he says he will rush into making though.

Is there a right or a wrong decision to make here?

Onuoha seems to have a real genuine claim, and affinity with both nations – does it just come down to a ‘am I really going to get into the England squad’ issue though? Can such thoughts really be the basis for making such a decision?
