Wesley Sneijder has been linked with a move to the Premier League for years, Chelsea and Man United consistently names in the frame. Southampton have cropped up recently, with the red half of Manchester still in the running by all accounts.

Alas though it’ll be City that ‘swoop in’ ahead of them all and bring in the 30-year-old when January arrives…. At least this is the claim from Voetbal International.

Apparently we have already ‘met with his agent’ to discuss a transfer to the Etihad from Galatasaray when the transfer window opens again, not only that we’ve moved to the head of the queue to ‘win the race’ for the Dutchman.

Officially, in the usually rumours round-up; City have laughed this off and probably rightly so. Given the reports claim that he’ll be Frank Lampard’s replacement when he ‘moves to New York City in January’, which whilst meant to be the case hasn’t been officially sort out anyway, I wouldn’t be hanging my hat on this one….

Would you?
