Report: Player ‘predicted to leave’ Man City, could be worth £20m after impressive season

|

Manchester City would like to sign Jack Grealish and Harry Kane this summer but need to raise funds before they’re in a position to lodge acceptable bids, so they’re open to selling a lot of deadwood now the transfer window is open.

Jack Harrison looks set to join Leeds United after a successful loan spell, Pedro Porro could be joining Sporting after a successful loan spell and the Daily Mail say Yangel Herrera could have his pick of suitors after a successful loan spell at Granada.

The 23-year-old joined City from Atletico Venezuela in 2017 but has yet to make an appearance in the first-team. Herrera was immediately loaned out to New York City FC (2017/18) and SD Huesca (2019), but it’s his stint with Granada (2019 – 2021) where he’s made his name.

Herrera has made 82 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish outfit, scoring 10 goals with five assists. He’s been an effective defensive-midfielder and was being considered as Fernandinho’s replacement at City, but the Daily Mail believe he’ll be sold for around £20m this summer instead.

The Venezuelan international’s loan spell at Granada recently came to an end and now Crystal Palace, Southampton, West Ham, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Villarreal are showing an interest.
