Veteran Manchester City stalwart, Pablo Zabaleta has come out and said that Pep Guardiola bores some of the players when, on a daily basis he makes them watch football videos.

Richard Tanner, sports journalist at Express Sport wrote an article a couple of days ago saying that Pep was renowned for his eye for detail (yes, we all know that) and that he used videos to prepare his players for up and coming games.

By all accounts Zab was quoted as saying…

‘We watch a lot of videos, and sometimes I know it’s a bit boring for some of the players to be watching videos every day, but for the players who really love football and enjoy watching it’s not a problem. I’m talking about 20 or 25 minutes of video, not an hour or two hours!’

I’m not really sure there is a story here. I mean which manager DOESN’T use these sort of methods to get across to his players about possible opposition weaknesses.

Perhaps Mr Tanner would rather have Pep use smoke signals, sign language and blow a trumpet from his butt-cheeks in an effort to get his message across!
