Oleksandr Zinchenko looks to be on his way out of Manchester City after a deal was agreed with Arsenal. The 25-year-old has undergone a medical without issue, but there is paperwork still needing to be signed, so the move has yet to be confirmed.

Arsenal are paying £30m for Zinchenko, so City have landed themselves £28.2m profit from the £1.8m spent in 2016. The Ukraine international has made 127 appearances in all competitions for the Sky Blues, scoring two goals with 12 assists, but he didn’t get a lot of playing time last season.
Zinchenko featured in only 28 of City’s 58 games in 2021/22 (48%), amassing 1843 minutes from a possible 5220 (35%), so Pep Guardiola overlooked him for most of the campaign. That being said, the 25-year-old did have his manager’s trust for the big games, playing in the Champions League semi-finals and Premier League run-in, but he’s still being sold this summer.
With Marc Cucurella expected to be signed from Brighton & Hove Albion, City will have a new first-choice left-back next season. Joao Cancelo is able to operate in the makeshift role too while Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake can fill in if required.
