Manchester City have today announced that Bacary Sagna will officially join us ahead of next season.
Plenty of speculation suggested Sagna would be joining us at the Etihad Stadium, and even his agent confirmed it was the most likely outcome a few days back, but the I’s must have been dotted and the T’s crossed now for City to make the official statement.
The 31 year old former Arsenal player comes to us with plenty of experience, having played for the London side 213 times since joining them from Auxerre back in 2007, and he has also picked up 41 caps for his country.
He is on World Cup duty with France at the moment, so the official signing and unveiling will be done following the tournament in Brazil.
He has agreed a three year deal with us, and will meet up with the lads in time for our tour of America, and he will wear the No 3 shirt.
