Rumours have persisted this week that Robbie Fowler was poised to move back to Liverpool. It seems that despite denials from Rick Parry, the rumours were true all along.
It has now been confirmed that Fowler has indeed re-signed for his beloved Liverpool on a free transfer. Speaking in reaction to the transfer, Stuart Pearce has said that he was not going to stand in Fowler’s way once Liverpool had declared their interest.
Fine in theory, but it has left Manchester City Football Club in the mire. We have two experienced forwards left at the club and it would be unsurprising if we fail to replace Fowler before Wednesday. Just what the club is playing at is anyone’s guess.
