Kyle Walker picked up an injury in Manchester City’s 6-3 win over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon and may have to spend time on the sidelines. The 32-year-old started at right-back but had to be substituted in the first half after picking up the knock.
Sergio Gomez replaced Walker in the 41st minute, but the England international had updated supporters on his injury, saying he hopes to be back soon. City lock horns with FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Wednesday, but it remains to be seen if Walker will feature.

The 32-year-old has made eight appearances in all competitions this season and is an important player despite his advancing age, but Walker has been picking up knocks of late.

He came off injured in City’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on September 3 and was an unused substitute in their 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers two weeks later. Walker returned to represent England during September’s international break, but now he’s back to being injured.
Pep Guardiola doesn’t have a lot of depth at fullback either, so Gomez might have to start at left-back against FC Copenhagen so Joao Cancelo can replace Walker on the right.
