Bild say Euro giants are ‘watching’ Man City’s ‘jewel’ from the Netherlands

According to Sport Bild, Borussia Dortmund are ‘watching’ Manchester City’s ‘jewel’ Jayden Braaf and are interested in bringing him to the Signal Iduna Park.

The 18-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for City and Sport Bild say he might be considering his options if Pep Guardiola continues to overlook him, similar to how Dortmund signed Jadon Sancho in 2017.

Braaf netted three goals and made two assists in 15 games for the U18s, two assists in five games for the U19s and 12 goals in 24 games for the U23s. He’s also represented the Netherland national team at U15 (six games, one goal), U17 (12 games, four goals) and U18 (three games, two goals) level too.

Guardiola has Raheem Sterling, Ferran Torres, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva at his disposal, so Braaf is someway down the pecking order. He’s trained with the first-team but hasn’t made the matchday squad for any competitive game.

The closest Braaf has come to playing at senior level was him making six EFL Trophy appearances over three seasons, so might he look elsewhere if a European giant are keen?
