Transfer blow for Man City as Celtic enter four-way race to sign highly-rated 18 y/o

Manchester City agreed a deal to sign Kwadwo Baah in January and he was due to undergo a medical, but the deal ended up collapsing and Give Me Sport say Celtic, Rangers and West Ham United are now looking to capitalise on the situation.

Baah’s contract is up this summer, so he could be on his way out of Rochdale if he doesn’t put pen to paper on an extension. The 18-year-old looks unlikely to stay at Spotland as he’s attracted interest from clubs in Scotland and England, but things are still up in the air.

Baah joined Rochdale from Whyteleafe FC in 2019 and has gone on to make 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and supplying two assists (Transfermarkt). He’s been a regular under Brian Barry-Murphy this season and could soon be fielding offers off the back of his form.

It remains to be seen if Man City will return for Baah this summer, but Give Me Sport believe Celtic, Rangers and West Ham are considering a move. Pep Guardiola has given opportunities to five teenagers this season, so Baah might still be open to joining the Sky Blues.
