Celtic v Rangers, Liverpool v Everton, Sheffield Wednesday v Sheffield United, no thank you. The Manchester Derby tops them all.

It has been said that the best atmosphere any football derby can generate is either at Celtic Park or Ibrox when the auld enemy collide, however I beg to differ.

Come 1:30pm on Sunday 5 May 2008 around 76,000 fans will be crammed into Old Trafford to watch a game of pure brilliance and quality. Millions around the world will be glued to their television sets to witness some of the best players in the world perform their trade like no other. Therefore I ask the question, where else in the UK can you see anything that remotely comes close?

In an attempt to get the adrenaline pumping Vital Manchester City has found the following video clip. The date, 9 November 2002, the last Maine Road derby. Score, City 3-1 Rags.

Have a close look and see how many faces you recognise.
