Manchester City announced late on Tuesday 27th April that the club had agreed to take Sunderland’s third choice goalkeeper, Marton Fulop on a three match emergency loan deal.

The official MCFC website issued the following statement.

‘Hungarian international Marton Fulop will train with City on Wednesday after switching from Sunderland on an emergency loan.’

‘The move comes after Blues number one Shay Given’s season was ended by a dislocated shoulder at Arsenal on Saturday.’

‘Twenty-six-year-old 6′ 5′ Fulop is no stranger to being in a club on a temporary basis after having stints at Chesterfield, Coventry and Sunderland whilst a Spurs player and then joining Leicester and Stoke from the Stadium of Light.’
