Opinion: Boy Wonder Is Getting His Just Rewards

|

Three years ago Raheem Sterling joined Manchester City from Liverpool, and yet, the England international STILL receives loads of flak, criticism, boos and the likes from small-minded uneducated scousers.

What is it with them?

Pep Guardiola, his staff and players, MUST run the Anfield gauntlet in the hope their coach arrives in one piece this Sunday ahead of the 4.30pm kick-off. Threats, intimidation and hooligans will no doubt try and intimidate the team – AGAIN.

Can someone please tell the small element of so-called fans that we are currently living in the 21st Century and not the 1970s?

I agree Liverpool were the kings of England and Europe 40 plus years ago but can someone enlighten me as to why some of their supporters still tie a scarf around their writs, wear flairs and the some of the gents continue to perm their hair. All that is missing these days is a ‘shell suit.’

Raheem Sterling

Pep has, over the last two seasons brought the best out of our attacking midfielder. At times his play can be sublime. At times he can send Blues into a trance with his dribbles, pace, and unbelievable passing.

Again, yesterday’s performance against Brighton bedazzled the 54,000 Etihad faithful.

Is it time for the Liverpool fans to ‘get over it’ and move on? Either that or get a life!

Raheem vs Brighton

Raheem – with the amount of flak you have received and then come out on top I and no doubt thousands of others would like to applaud your courage and determination.

Sir, I SALUTE you!
