Manchester City’s £37.8m-rated 5ft 7in star has uncertain future

|

I don’t like to say it, but Sergio Aguero has an uncertain future at Manchester City as he’s out of contract in 2021 and has so far resisted extending his stay. The 32-year-old will honour his contract and Man City will allow Aguero to leave on his own accord, so could this be his last season at the Etihad Stadium?

Where will Manchester City finish this season?

Everybody leaves eventually

Joe Hart went to Burnley in 2018, Gael Clichy went to Basaksehir in 2017, Pablo Zabaleta went to West Ham United in 2017, Vincent Kompany went to RSC Anderlecht in 2019 and David Silva went to Real Sociedad in 2020, so all good things come to an end at City.

Aguero has to leave sometime and his uncertain future coincides with interest from Inter Milan, but it remains to be seen where the 5ft 7in striker will end up.

Prediction

Aguero has made 370 appearances since joining us from Atletico Madrid in 2011, scoring 254 goals with 73 assists, but this could be his final season in Manchester.

It’s rare that a key player in the City squad is allowed to run down his deal until the final year, so fans may need to get ready for Aguero’s 10-year association to come to an end.
